RKG0031 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKG0031 cable is an encoder interface lead manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKG Encoder Cables series. It links motor-mounted position transducers to Indramat drive controllers so that real-time feedback reaches the control loop without signal loss. The assembly is pre-terminated at both ends and engineered for installation in automated machinery where continuous motion, tight bend radii, and electrical noise require a dedicated feedback line. By maintaining shield integrity and low resistance, the cable supports stable velocity control in pick-and-place units, gantry axes, and packaging equipment.

The cable has a rated life of 5 million bending cycles, and it remains functional inside drag-chain guides because it is rated for that environment. The bulk cable uses the INK0280 designation and a layered construction of 3×0.25 mm² singles, three pairs of 0.25 mm² conductors, and two 1.0 mm² supply cores; this arrangement balances signal shielding with power conductors. With a conductor resistance of 83.0 ohm/km, voltage drop across typical machine lengths stays minimal, while the control cores tolerate up to 300 V. A dynamic bending radius of 7.5 × D helps prevent conductor fatigue when the chain accelerates. The orange RAL 2003 PUR jacket is halogen-free, supporting installation in food or clean room production where corrosive combustion gases are unacceptable.

Signal integrity at the terminations is supported by molded connectors: the drive side uses INS0451/C01, and the motor side uses INS0761/L01, which removes the need for field crimping. During stationary routing, the assembly may bend to a static radius of 5 × D, which simplifies cabinet dressing without overstressing the cores. The outer sheath is made from PUR, providing abrasion resistance against continuous sliding inside the carrier.
