The RKG0027 cable is a feedback lead manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKG Encoder Cables series. Designed for servo and spindle installations, the assembly carries incremental or absolute encoder signals between a motor and its drive controller while also supplying auxiliary control voltage. Its construction supports frequent motion inside cable carriers, so it is typically deployed wherever axes move continuously in assembly lines, packaging cells, or gantry systems. By combining signal integrity with mechanical flexibility, the cable serves as an integral link in closed-loop industrial automation systems.

On the motor side, the cable terminates in an M23 12-pin socket that uses crimp contacts, while the controller end carries a D-Sub 15-pin plug assembled with crimp pins; this pairing matches Indramat encoder interfaces without adapters. The control conductors are rated for 300 V, providing ample margin for position channels and sensor supply lines. Mechanically, the sheath and conductor lay-up withstand a life of 5,000,000 flex cycles when routed in drag chains. During dynamic motion, the manufacturer prescribes a minimum bend radius of 7.5 × D to limit copper strain and preserve signal continuity.

The outer jacket is formed from PUR, a material selected for abrasion resistance, oil tolerance, and low outgassing in enclosed machinery. The orange RAL 2003 sheath aids visual separation from power conductors, and the construction is approved for use inside drag-chain tracks that guide linear axes.
