RKG0026 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKG0026 encoder cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKG Encoder Cables series. It serves as the dedicated feedback link between a motor-mounted encoder and an Indramat drive controller, transferring differential position signals and control power so the axis can remain precisely synchronized with its command profile. A polyurethane outer jacket and factory-installed connectors allow the assembly to be installed directly in drag chains and moving cable carriers without additional field termination.

The conductors use a 3x0.25 + 3x(2x0.25)StC + 2x1.0 mm² layout that separates signal pairs from the supply cores to help keep crosstalk low. This arrangement is built on the INK0280 bulk cable platform and enclosed in a PUR jacket with an adhesion-free, matte surface for easier handling. The cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, allowing continuous flexing in high-duty motion axes. During dynamic routing, the minimum bend radius is 7.5 × D, while stationary loops can be reduced to 5 × D without stressing the cores. The controller end uses an INS0761/L01 connector that locks to Indramat drive panels to help prevent accidental disconnection during vibration. An outer diameter of 10.0 mm supports compact cable tray layouts, and the PUR sheath also resists cutting fluids and oils commonly found in machining cells.

On the motor side, the feedback lines connect through the keyed INS0639/C01 connector, maintaining pin continuity with Hiperface and 1 Vpp encoders. The cable is halogen-free, which reduces corrosive gas release in the event of fire, and its sheath is colored RAL 2003 orange for fast visual tracing in dense harness bundles. Control circuits can operate up to 300 V through the shielded pairs, so a separate auxiliary lead is not required for multiturn encoders or integrated temperature sensors.
