The RKG0025 cable is an encoder feedback lead produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKG Encoder Cables series. It links position transducers to drive controllers, carrying incremental or absolute signals while withstanding continuous motion in drag-chain-guided axes used in packaging machines, gantries, and material-handling lines. In these applications, the cable must preserve signal quality during repeated acceleration, deceleration, and direction changes. Its flexible construction supports stable feedback transmission where cable carriers cycle constantly through tight machine movements. It is used where the feedback path must remain intact even as the axis repeats long travel strokes throughout the duty cycle.

The cable is rated for 5 million flex cycles in energy chains, illustrating its mechanical endurance over long duty periods. For static routing, the minimum bend radius is 5 × D, while dynamic loops require 7.5 × D. The overall diameter is 10.0 mm, which helps with carrier fill calculations and gland selection. Signal termination toward the encoder uses the keyed circular plug type INS0761, while the opposite end is supplied with crimped ferrules for controller screw terminals. Crimped ferrules support secure termination at clamping interfaces. The conductor bundle uses 3 × 0.25 mm² conductors, screened twisted pairs, and two 1.0 mm² power cores under a halogen-free PUR jacket that resists oil and coolant. A full tinned copper braid shield helps reduce electromagnetic interference that could disturb encoder channels during high-speed axis movement.

At 20 °C, the small signal cores exhibit a resistance of 83.0 ?/km, which helps keep voltage drop low over typical machine runs. The cable supports horizontal travel distances up to 50 m and reciprocating speeds of up to 5 m/s, matching the movement demands of many servo-driven carriages. Its PUR sheath has an adhesion-free, matte surface that helps it move cleanly through cable carriers, and it is colored RAL 2003 (orange) for quick visual identification inside dense cable runs. The orange sheath also separates feedback wiring visually from motor power leads. That jacket finish also helps limit sticking between adjacent cables during repeated motion, which supports consistent encoder communication.
