Bosch Rexroth Indramat's RKG0019 belongs to the RKG Encoder Cables series and serves as a flexible connection between motor-mounted encoders and drive controllers in automated machinery. The cable transmits differential position signals together with low-voltage supply conductors, allowing the drive to monitor axis location, velocity, and alarm lines in real time. By integrating matched connectors and strain-relief elements, the assembly simplifies installation in routing channels and drag chains common to packaging lines, gantries, or material handling stations.

For continuous motion applications, the cable is rated for 2,000,000 flex cycles, so it tolerates repetitive movement without conductor fatigue. During operation, the moving loops may be formed down to a dynamic bend radius of 10xD, whereas stationary routing requires only a minimum of 6xD. The outer sheath is colored Orange (RAL 2003) for fast identification of encoder lines inside cabinets and along energy chains. A thermoplastic polyurethane jacket made of PUR resists oil, coolant, and abrasion while maintaining flexibility up to the specified 80 °C conductor temperature. The total braid-and-foil shield blocks electromagnetic interference and helps preserve signal fidelity over extended runs.

The bulk cable type is designated INK0720, which keeps the conductor arrangement consistent across factory-assembled lengths. One end is terminated with plug code INS0451, and the opposite end uses mating plug INS0488 for direct attachment to Indramat drives and motor feedback sockets without additional adapters. Supply conductors of 2 × 1.0 mm² and three twin-pair control cores of 0.25 mm² handle encoder power and differential channels, while the overall mass of only 0.13 kg/m keeps moving cable loads low in drag-chain applications.
