The RKG0015 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the RKG Encoder Cables series. It serves as a dedicated link between an encoder and the corresponding drive, transmitting incremental or absolute feedback needed for closed-loop motor control. By supplying a factory-terminated assembly, the product shortens installation time and lowers wiring errors in automated machinery where axis precision and uptime are critical. It is suitable for drag-chain layouts and for stationary routing inside electrical cabinets.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 continuous flexing cycles, so it tolerates repeated motion in energy chains without conductor fatigue. During dynamic movement, it must be bent no tighter than a radius of 7.5 × D, where D is the outer diameter; this limit prevents excessive shear on the copper strands. Once fixed in place, the recommended minimum radius relaxes to 5 × D, reflecting the lower stress in static routing. The assembly follows the Basic model code, indicating standard PVC insulation and shield construction adequate for typical electromagnetic environments. It is supplied as a Ready-Made unit, meaning the factory has already attached the specified connectors, eliminating the need for on-site crimping.

Signal conductors and shielding are carried in the underlying cable type INK0280, which uses the conductor cross-section, jacket material, and color code assigned to this cable family. Within that jacket, the wiring is dedicated to the Encoder Cable variant, so pair assignments match the differential channels expected by Rexroth feedback systems. One end terminates with connector INS0379/C01, and the opposite end uses INS0761/L01, allowing the cable to connect directly between a motor encoder socket and the corresponding drive port without adapter leads.
