The RKG0011 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKG Encoder Cables series. It is an encoder feedback line for servo axes, carrying incremental or absolute position signals between motor-mounted sensing devices and drive controllers in automated machinery. These signals allow the control system to monitor rotor position and support closed-loop motion on packaging equipment, transfer systems, and robotic handling cells. By matching the electrical and mechanical requirements of Rexroth feedback hardware, the assembly supports reliable data transmission during continuous flexing in gantries, tool changers, and handling robots.

The cable supports 5,000,000 flex cycles, a figure relevant for high-duty linear axes that move on every machine stroke. During motion, the conductors may be bent to a minimum radius of 7.5 x D, which helps keep internal stresses within allowable limits. The assembly is suitable for drag chain use and is halogen-free, reducing smoke toxicity in enclosed electrical spaces. Its outer sheath is made of PUR with a matte surface, which resists abrasion and coolant splash during repeated machine movement. Resistance to industrial lubricants meets EN 60811-2-1, and conductor temperature may rise to +80 °C during continuous operation.

One end uses an M23 17-pin socket for direct connection to compatible motor encoders, while the opposite end terminates in a D-Sub 15-pin socket for drive controller feedback ports. This connector arrangement supports straightforward integration with encoder-equipped servo systems that use dedicated feedback channels. When the cable is installed permanently in a cabinet or festoon, the minimum static bend radius is 5 x D, which allows tighter routing without overstressing the insulation. The sheath is colored orange (RAL 2003) so encoder feedback lines can be distinguished from power conductors in mixed cable runs.
