The RKG0010 encoder cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKG Encoder Cables series. It serves as the signal and auxiliary-power link between a rotary or linear encoder and the associated drive controller in automated machinery. That role makes it suitable for motion systems that depend on stable feedback for position tracking, speed regulation, and synchronized axis response. By maintaining impedance balance and shielding integrity along the full length, the cable helps the control system read position and velocity accurately without introducing electrical noise or timing errors during continuous machine movement.
The outer diameter of the cable measures 10.0 mm, a size that balances compact routing through cable trays, drag chains, and machine frames with enough conductor area to keep resistance low. During moving-cable applications such as energy-chain runs, the permitted dynamic bend radius is 7.5 × D; when the cable is fixed after installation, the static radius tightens to 5 × D. Flex-life is rated for 5 million bending cycles, supporting repeated traverses in applications with frequent axis travel. A maximum horizontal travel path of 50 m is allowed before signal attenuation requires amplification. Control pairs inside the bundle can be energized up to 300 V AC, allowing encoder feedback and limited-power auxiliary functions to share the same assembly. The composite 3 × 0.25 mm² core set, three shielded twisted pairs, and two 1 mm² supply conductors provide separate paths for differential signals, sense lines, and logic power.
The controller end is terminated with an INS0761 plug, while the encoder end uses the mating INS0769 connector for polarity-safe installation and consistent connection at each end of the cable run. A matte PUR (Matt) jacket resists abrasion, oils, and weld spatter common in production lines, and it also helps the cable move smoothly in guided routing systems. Because the insulation system is Halogen-free, the cable releases no corrosive gases if exposed to fire, which reduces risk to nearby electronics. This material choice is useful in enclosed equipment spaces where smoke chemistry can affect connectors, drives, and nearby control components.
