The RKG0006 flexible feedback lead is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKG Encoder Cables series. It serves as the data path between an incremental or absolute encoder mounted on a moving axis and the drive controller that interprets those signals. By combining a chain-rated jacket with factory-installed connectors, the cable supports dynamic industrial automation where continuous motion and repeatable positional information are required. Its flexible construction also helps maintain stable feedback transmission during repeated acceleration, deceleration, and reversing movement on servo-driven axes.

The bulk conductor assembly is marked INK0532, indicating a finely stranded core and PVC insulation suited to low-noise differential pairs. Mechanical qualification gives the cable a life of 5,000,000 flex cycles when routed through energy chains. During operation, it may bend to a minimum dynamic loop of 7.5 × D, while fixed installation can be tightened to 5 × D without exceeding permissible strain. Device-side termination uses connector code INS0379, which is fitted at the factory with crimp sockets to support stable signal transfer under vibration and temperature changes. This arrangement allows the cable to move with gantry axes or robotic wrists while preserving encoder accuracy.

At the opposite end, the controller-side interface uses an M23 circular shell with 17 signal positions arranged for the standard encoder pinout used by this platform. The cabinet connection uses adapter part INS0761, a 15-pin D-sub with solder sockets and a 2 x 45° cable exit that helps the assembly clear adjacent modules in shallow enclosures. Using crimp contacts on the motor side and solder terminations on the drive side supports secure electrical contact at both ends of the lead. Shield continuity is maintained through the metal backshells, which helps protect differential encoder channels from switching noise. This layout is well suited to compact servo cabinets where cable routing space is limited near the drive interface.
