The RKG0004 is an encoder feedback cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKG Encoder Cables series. Designed as a dedicated link between an Indramat servo motor and its controller, the product transfers differential position signals while withstanding continuous machine motion. The cable is delivered fully terminated, so it can plug directly into cabinets and motor housings without on-site assembly. This format is useful on axes that cycle repeatedly because the feedback path remains consistent from the motor to the controller. In production cells that demand high axis counts, the plug-and-play layout shortens wiring time and supports consistent signal quality across each installation.
The cable is a ready-made harness and is built from Rexroth bulk cable type INK0532. Its conductor and jacket system is rated for 5,000,000 flex cycles, allowing continuous travel in linear modules or robotic wrists that operate inside cable drag chains. When the cable is in motion, the minimum dynamic bend radius is 7.5×D, where D is the outer diameter, while fixed routing permits a tighter radius of 5×D. Following these bend limits helps reduce conductor fatigue and preserves encoder signal quality during repeated movement. These limits are especially important where the cable follows moving carriages or rotary joints through frequent travel cycles.
Connection hardware is pre-fitted on both ends, so the assembly arrives ready for direct installation. The controller side uses a D-Sub 15-Pin (Socket) interface with a 2×45° cable exit for compact drive stacks, and the contacts are terminated by solder for low-resistance joints. The motor side uses a circular M23 17-Pin (Socket) connector, and its individual contacts are attached with a crimp process that supports vibration-prone locations. The different connector styles match the interfaces commonly used between the drive and motor feedback ports. This arrangement provides secure latching, maintains shielding continuity, and keeps feedback conductors clearly separated from power wiring.
