RKB0043 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKB0043 industrial cable is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKB Control Cables series. It is a ready-made cable assembly with over-molded terminations and follows the Ethernet cable variant classification in the series. In automated machinery, it links drives, I/O modules, and motion controllers that rely on the Sercos III bus for synchronized communication. Its preassembled format helps keep connections consistent between the control cabinet and moving equipment, where stable data exchange is required for coordinated machine motion.

The cable integrates with the Sercos III real-time bus, allowing drive controllers and sensors to exchange data deterministically. Both ends terminate in M12 4-pin connectors, so field installation does not require on-site crimping. Inside the sheath, the twisted pairs comply with Cat5e transmission parameters, supporting 100 Mbps communication over industrial Ethernet segments. During motion, the cable requires a minimum bending radius of 7.5 × D, which helps protect the conductors in drag-chain service. Service life in repetitive motion is rated for 3,000,000 bending cycles, making it suitable for gantries and pick-and-place axes.

At rest, the cable may be routed with a static bend radius of 5 × D without risking jacket deformation. Continuous operation is allowed from -40 °C up to 70 °C, so standard enclosures do not need additional conditioning in many plant areas. During shipment or storage, the permissible range widens to -50 °C on the low side while the upper limit remains unchanged, which helps protect the insulation when spare lengths are kept in unheated warehouses. The molded strain-relief ends support repeated handling and help the assembly remain secure after installation.
