RKB0041 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKB0041 is a flexible control cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKB Control Cables series. It links drives, I/O modules, and controllers by carrying the company's S-BUS fieldbus signals, allowing time-synchronized data exchange in compact machines and material-handling lines. Factory-installed circular connectors at each end let the cable plug directly into compatible servo drives without additional field wiring. This reduces connection work and helps avoid wiring errors in automated cells.

The mechanical performance of this cable supports up to 3,000,000 bending cycles during repeated flexing. Even so, the cable is not intended for enclosed cable carriers. A molded M12 plug is fitted to the drive side, while the opposite end terminates with an M12 socket. Network communication follows the S-BUS protocol, maintaining deterministic telegram timing between motion axes. During installation or service pulls, the copper conductors and insulation withstand a peak axial strain of 60 N without permanent deformation, helping prevent conductor breakage in tight control cabinets.

Installation guidelines specify a fixed routing bend of >=5×OD, preventing microcracks in the insulation when the cable is clamped to panel walls or machine frames. The jacket remains pliable during assembly because the permissible mounting temperature is 0 to +50 °C mounting temperature. When the cable is stationary, the sheath continues to function within an operating temperature range of -20 to +60 °C operating temperature, so seasonal changes inside unconditioned factories do not compromise signal quality. Each length is delivered terminated on both ends, and the unenergized cable may be stored from 0 to +50 °C under common warehouse conditions.
