RKB0033 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKB0033 is a control cable built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKB Control Cables series. It serves as the link between field devices and I/O modules or drive controllers, carrying low-level signals together with auxiliary power through one continuous assembly. One end is terminated for direct device connection, while the opposite end is left open so the conductors can be routed into a cabinet or junction area. This format reduces the number of intermediate connections and supports orderly wiring on automated equipment. It also allows the field connector to remain intact while the cabinet side is adapted to the required terminal assignment.

Its conductors use a twisted-pair layout that improves resistance to electromagnetic interference and helps preserve clean signal transmission over machine-length runs. The cable is supplied as a ready-made assembly, so the machine end arrives prepared for use and the remaining leads can be cut and landed where needed. Built for sensor-actuator service, it is suited to the signal and auxiliary power levels common to proximity switches, photo eyes, and compact solenoids. On the field end, an M12 12-pin circular connector mates with standard IEC 61076-2-101 receptacles, and the cable supports a dynamic bending radius of 7.5 × D when used in moving applications.

Durability in moving-chain installations is shown by a service life rating of 5,000,000 cycles, which supports repeated travel on gantry, transfer, and robot axes. In fixed routing, the harness can be installed with a minimum bend radius of 5 × D when it is clamped securely and not subjected to continuous motion. The operating range extends from -30 °C during startup to 80 °C during continuous use, allowing the cable to work in cold spaces as well as near warmer electrical assemblies. Separate storage limits also apply when the cable is kept as a spare so the jacket remains stable during long periods out of service.
