The RKB0020 cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the RKB Control Cables series. The cable uses Sercos III over a CAT.5 pair set, so the conductor geometry supports 100 MHz signaling and full-duplex 100 Mbit communication. It is built for high-cycle motion, and the jacket remains functional after 5,000,000 flexing events when routed through an energy chain. Dynamic routing requires a minimum bend radius of 7.5xD, while stationary runs can use 5xD. Continuous braided and foil shielding helps suppress crosstalk, reduce emitted noise, and protect signal quality near switching devices. This shielding structure is useful in cabinets where power electronics and network wiring operate close to one another.

Each termination uses a keyed RJ45 plug with a straight exit, so the assembly aligns neatly with drive or PLC ports. The eight gold-plated contacts help maintain stable impedance across the signal pairs during repeated movement. The polymer insulation remains usable from -30 °C to 80 °C, allowing the same cable to operate in refrigerated zones or warm enclosures without cracking or softening. The same temperature range applies during storage, and the cable materials resist embrittlement during long idle periods. This makes the cable suitable for cabinet interconnects, moving axes, and other automation equipment that depends on reliable Ethernet communication under repeated motion.
