RKB0008 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKB0008 is a ready-made industrial Ethernet cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the RKB Control Cables series. It arrives pre-terminated to simplify installation and connects drives, PLCs, and distributed I/O to the control network inside automated equipment. By combining continuous-motion durability with factory-crimped plugs, the assembly accelerates cabinet wiring and supports moving axes in material-handling, packaging, and machining applications.

Mechanically, the cable tolerates 5,000,000 flexing cycles and is rated for drag-chain use, so repeated acceleration does not fracture the conductors. The dynamic bending radius of 7.5xD is the smallest loop size permitted while the cable is in motion, whereas the static radius of 5xD applies to fixed routing inside enclosures. A PUR jacket and straight plug orientation maintain flexibility without compromising the shield. Electrically, the assembly meets the CAT6+ classification, allowing differential signaling up to 1 Gbit/s through its twisted-pair core. These values support deterministic communication between motion controllers and field devices even under constant mechanical stress.

The cable is supplied with two straight RJ45 plugs wired to the T568B scheme, and each plug carries 8 contacts that match standard Ethernet ports on Rexroth controllers. The cable remains flexible from the minimum operating temperature of -30 °C, which is also the low limit for long-term storage, up to a continuous service ceiling of 80 °C; short-term storage can reach 40 °C without material degradation. Because both connectors are wired alike, installation errors caused by reversed transmit and receive pairs are avoided, and the molded strain relief preserves signal integrity throughout the specified thermal window.
