RKB0007 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The RKB0007 is a preassembled industrial Ethernet cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the RKB Control Cables series. It serves as a plug-and-play communication link between motion controllers, drives, and higher-level PLCs, enabling deterministic data exchange required for coordinated automation tasks. Because the assembly is supplied ready to install, it can be routed between devices without on-site connector termination and with less variation at the connection points.

This cable is classified as CAT6+, a category that supports reduced crosstalk and tighter impedance control for high-integrity signaling. Its dynamic bending radius is 7.5xD, which is the minimum loop size permitted while the cable is moving and helps protect conductors from cyclic strain in energy-chain routing. A maximum throughput of 1 Gbit/s allows full-duplex transmission of real-time control packets as well as diagnostic traffic on a single channel. The eight-wire layout uses an 8-pin arrangement so each twisted pair can be assigned to differential signaling or PoE functions, depending on system requirements. Communication follows the Ethernet TCP/IP protocol, which keeps the cable compatible with common industrial switchgear and drives that use standard frame structures and addressing.

When the cable is installed in a fixed position, its static bending radius is limited to 5xD, allowing compact cabinet routing without exceeding mechanical limits. The cable uses a Crosslink wiring scheme, which crosses the transmit and receive pairs internally so two identical Ethernet nodes can be connected directly without an external switch. Drag-chain use is approved, and the ready-made design with molded plugs simplifies installation. Both terminations use a single RJ45 interface, eliminating adapter requirements when cabling controllers, drives, or managed switches in the automation cell.
