Bosch Rexroth Indramat produces the RH2-024DBB, a cable in the RH2 Encoder Cables series. The assembly combines power conductors and digital feedback lines so a single run can link MS2-family servo motors to IndraDrive amplifiers in automated production lines. By carrying motor power and encoder signals inside one shielded jacket, it saves panel space and reduces the number of separate cable runs on material-handling, packaging, and pick-and-place equipment. The combined layout also helps keep routing organized on moving axes where separate motor and feedback cables would add bulk.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 dynamic bending cycles in an energy chain, supporting continuous reciprocating motion. During flexing, the cable requires a minimum dynamic loop diameter of 7.5xD, while fixed routing permits 5xD. Four main conductors use copper with a cross-sectional area of 1.5 mm², and the auxiliary circuit uses a pair sized at 0.5 mm² for brake power or sensor voltage. The conductor layout and the internal shield around the 24 AWG signal group help reduce noise pickup and support stable feedback transmission when motor current changes quickly.

The cable terminates in an M23 Hybrid connector that mates directly with the drive and supports the [4x L + (2x 0.5 mm²)C + (4x AWG 24)]StC core arrangement. Classified as Hybrid Cables, this second-generation design routes motor power, 24 V auxiliaries, and differential encoder pairs through separated contact groups in the same plug. The lead connects directly to motors identified as MS2x With Plug S, so no intermediate junction box is needed. This format keeps the interface compact and helps reduce connection clutter around the motor and drive. Separate contact groups in the connector also help limit interference between power transmission and feedback signals.
