The RH2-022DBB is an encoder and power combination cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for use within the RH2 Encoder Cables series. It links servo motors to drive controllers, carrying both power conductors and high-resolution feedback channels in a single shielded assembly. By combining both functions, the cable simplifies routing inside machine frames and supports fast installation in automated production lines. The shared cable format also helps keep cable runs organized where space is limited and separate power and feedback leads would add bulk. Using one cable in place of separate assemblies can also reduce congestion at motor entries and along cable carriers in compact automation cells.
Because of its hybrid construction, the cable belongs to the Hybrid Cables category, which means the power cores and twisted signal pairs share one jacket while remaining electromagnetically separated. Each power core has a cross-section of 1.5 mm², which helps limit voltage drop over typical axis lengths. The power conductors are rated for continuous operation at 600/1000 V, while the signal pairs are rated for 450/750 V to protect encoder electronics. The cable has an outside diameter of 13.0 mm, making it suitable for standard Rexroth strain-relief glands. For fixed routing, the minimum bend radius is 5 × D, which equals 65 mm for this cable diameter.
The internal layout follows the coded bundle [4× L + (2× 0.5 mm²)C + (4× AWG 24)]StC, which combines four power conductors with screened encoder circuits to reduce crosstalk. A PUR (Orange RAL 2003) outer sheath resists oils and weld spatter while remaining flexible enough to meet the mobile bend requirement of 7.5 × D, which equals 97.5 mm for this diameter class. As a 2nd Generation member of the product family, the cable uses updated connector coding and EMC requirements. Screening around the encoder circuits helps keep feedback transmission stable when the cable runs near switching power conductors and servo hardware. The jacket material also supports repeated movement, making the cable suitable for axes that need one routed assembly for both drive power and feedback signals.
