RH2-011BBB by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

Bosch Rexroth Indramat supplies the RH2-011BBB, an encoder lead in the RH2 Encoder Cables series that links feedback devices directly to drive controllers in automated machinery. The cable belongs to the Rexroth Cables product group and follows a hybrid topology so both encoder signals and motor power reach the axis without separate runs. Its role is to simplify wiring inside dynamic cable chains and maintain signal integrity between the sensor head and the control cabinet. Combining these functions in one assembly also helps reduce cable clutter around moving machine sections.

The assembly is delivered with a length of 1.0 m, allowing short point-to-point routing in compact machines. Each copper core has a cross-section of 0.75 mm², giving adequate conductor area for combined signal and low-power supply paths. Because the sheath integrates power and data conductors, the unit is part of the Hybrid Cables category. At the motor side, an M17 Hybrid plug terminates the jacket so it mates directly with IndraDrive motor sockets, while the cabinet end remains open for direct termination at the controller. The basic cable design keeps the outer diameter to a minimum while still handling mechanical strain in motion systems. Under repeated articulation, the jacket can bend to a dynamic radius of 7.5 × D, which supports continuous travel in drag-chain applications.

The cable has a service life of 5,000,000 bending cycles, making it suitable for multi-shift gantry or pick-and-place axes. When secured in place, a static bend radius of 5 × D helps protect the insulation from kinking in fixed routing. The 2nd Generation construction updates the insulation compounds for wider climate tolerance, with operation permitted up to 80 °C and continued flexibility at low ambient temperatures down to -40 °C. This temperature capability supports equipment that may start cold and then warm during normal production.
