The MS2E05-B0BTN-CMSK1-NNNNN-NN is a three-phase permanent-magnet servo motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. It is intended for precision industrial automation tasks, supplying controlled torque and speed to rotary axes in assembly systems, pick-and-place gantries, packaging modules, and other motion platforms that require repeatable positioning accuracy. The motor supports dynamic closed-loop motion where rapid acceleration and stable speed control are both important. Its compact 98 mm flange allows integration into tight machine frames while still providing a rigid mounting face.

At a nominal speed of 6000 rpm, the rotor can follow high-frequency command profiles without mechanical overshoot, which is useful for contouring applications. The electrically released brake supplies 10.00 Nm of static holding torque to help prevent uncommanded motion when power is removed. Position feedback is delivered by an Advanced Performance ACUROlink encoder that stores 4096 absolute revolutions and resolves each turn to 20-bit increments. This encoder arrangement gives the drive precise position data over both single-turn and multi-turn travel. A housing rated at IP65 with a shaft sealing ring blocks dust ingress and water jets, so the unit can be mounted directly on the machine base without an extra enclosure.

Thermal behavior is controlled by self-cooling, eliminating the need for external fans and simplifying wiring in decentralized drive packages. A winding thermometer in the form of a PT1000 platinum resistor supplies real-time temperature data to the drive controller for overload detection. Continuous rated output is available at ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 °C without derating, provided the installation remains within 0 to 1,000 m above mean sea level. That operating window supports installation in standard indoor industrial environments. Deep-groove ball bearings support the low-inertia rotor, and the RAL 9005 varnish helps protect the steel housing against corrosion while maintaining electrical continuity to ground.
