The MS2E05-B0BTN-CMSK0-NNNNN-NN is a three-phase permanent-magnet servo motor from Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the MS2E Synchronous Servomotors series. Designed for Zone-rated machinery that requires ATEX compliance, it delivers closed-loop motion when paired with an IndraDrive controller. Its self-cooling construction and low-inertia rotor support fast start-stop cycles in pick-and-place modules, indexing tables, and other positioning axes used in industrial automation. This layout also allows the motor to operate without external cooling hardware, which helps keep compact machine designs simple.

It provides a standstill torque of 3.75 Nm and a maximum torque of 11.5 Nm at 20 °C. Continuous operation is supported at a nominal speed of 6000 rpm, which is also the mechanical maximum speed for the motor. The stator can draw up to 16.8 A, and the winding inductance is 14.09 mH, giving the connected drive values that suit responsive current control. A PT1000 sensor reports stator temperature to the controller so thermal load can be monitored during operation. Feedback is supplied by an Advanced Performance ACUROlink multi-turn encoder, which provides absolute position data for precise axis control.

The motor weighs 4.0 kg and uses deep-groove ball bearings to support a keyed shaft with a shaft sealing ring. The housing has an IP65 rating, and a centering collar of 95 mm supports mounting to a B5 / IM3001 interface. A 98 mm flange, a 115 mm hole circle, and 9 mm threaded holes are used for attachment, while installation is permitted up to 1000 m above sea level in ambient temperatures from 0 °C to 40 °C without output reduction. A single rotatable M23 cable connection carries both power and encoder signals, which keeps the external connection layout compact. The encoder tracks 4096 revolutions for absolute multi-turn position data, and the motor size code 05 with frame length code B suits compact hazardous-area machinery.
