The KMV03.1R-W06K0-P-D7-ET-NNNN-FW is a regenerative supply module from Bosch Rexroth Indramat's KMV Regenerative Power Supplies series. Designed for drive systems that return braking energy to the DC bus, it provides a bidirectional power path that reduces wasted heat in multi-axis automation lines. This arrangement is useful in linked servo systems where one axis is braking while another is accelerating. Instead of sending excess energy to a resistor bank, the module routes it back into the power system for reuse by connected axes. It is intended for shared DC-bus platforms where recovered energy can be redistributed across the drive system.
Its rated output is 6 kW, allowing it to source or absorb energy for medium-sized servo inverters on a shared rail. The DC link is maintained at 750 VDC, and the module can return up to 8.0 A to the bus during deceleration. Internally, switching elements dissipate a maximum of 430 W as thermal loss, and forced cooling with an external heat sink and mounted fan removes this heat. This operating method helps limit the amount of braking energy that must be handled as waste heat elsewhere in the drive system. An upstream fuse rated at 15 A is required for branch protection in the event of an internal fault. This version 1 design operates only as a regenerative unit, so it must be used with a standard rectifier front end rather than generating the DC link by itself.
The enclosure has an IP65 rating that protects live parts against dust ingress and water jets, making the module suitable for installation on machine frames without a separate cabinet. Low-level electronics draw only 18 W of control power, which keeps the auxiliary supply load modest during operation. The modest control power demand also supports auxiliary supplies that feed logic and communication circuits. Field wiring to the AC mains and DC bus must use conductors of at least 14 AWG to satisfy thermal rise requirements. The housing has a short-circuit withstand rating of 42000 A rms, allowing coordination with high-capacity disconnects. Multi Ethernet connectivity provides status and diagnostic data, and the 03 series designation indicates compatibility with current IndraDrive controllers.
