The IKS4314 encoder cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKS Encoder Cables series. It links motor-mounted encoders to drive controllers, conveying position data for closed-loop motion control in assembly lines, machine tools, and material-handling axes. The cable's overall shield and matched impedance reduce electromagnetic interference, so feedback signals reach the controller without timing errors or jitter. Designed for drag-chain routing, it withstands rapid axis movements common in robotic cells and other continuously moving equipment.

The bulk conductor set is classified as INK0209, indicating the internal pair layout used for Rexroth encoder pinouts. An outer diameter of 8.8 mm helps with tray fill calculations and keeps the cable flexible enough for moving installations. The drive end uses a D-sub 15-pin socket that mates directly with standard HDS and DDS controller fronts, eliminating field crimping. Inside the shield, signal lines follow a 4x(2x0.25 mm²) configuration, providing differential pairs with uniform impedance for accurate incremental channels.
