The IKS4153 is an encoder feedback cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKS Encoder Cables series. It links motor-mounted encoders to drive controllers so position data reaches the control loop without interference. The cable is intended for moving-axis installations that use drag chains, giving the system a predefined length and connector arrangement for straightforward installation. Because encoder signals are sensitive to electrical noise, a dedicated feedback cable helps keep motion feedback stable during continuous axis travel.

Its overall length is 1.0 m, which suits short encoder runs inside compact electrical cabinets or between adjacent servo axes and helps limit excess cable slack. On the motor side, a 10-pin clamp terminal plug with crimp contacts supports secure termination and allows replacement if the connector is damaged. The drive end uses a 12-pin M23 plug that matches Rexroth encoder receivers, and the polarity follows pattern E to reduce the risk of cross-channel noise. The conductor set handles up to 300 V on its control wires, allowing shared routing with low-power actuator lines without dielectric breakdown. Mechanical durability is rated for 5 million bending cycles, so repeated motion inside a cable carrier does not significantly affect signal integrity.
