IKS4049 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKS4049 is an encoder feedback cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKS Encoder Cables series. It links the position transducer on a servo motor to the motion controller so that position, speed, and diagnostic data can travel reliably in automated assembly lines, packaging units, and gantry systems. By combining flexible conductors with industrial connectors, the cable maintains stable data transmission during continuous movement inside cable tracks and robotic joints, where repeated flexing and electrical noise are common operating conditions.

Mechanical service life depends on a fixed-installation bend radius of 5 x D and a dynamic bend radius of 7.5 x D. These limits help protect the conductor strands from stress concentration when the cable is clamped or routed through moving carriers. The cable is also rated for 5,000,000 flex cycles, allowing long-term use in drag chains. The controller-side contacts use a sealed solder socket design, while the encoder side uses a vibration-tolerant crimp socket.
