IKS0331 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKS0331 is a preassembled feedback harness produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the IKS Encoder Cables series. This cable links rotary or linear encoder transducers to compatible drive controllers, carrying position data and auxiliary control signals required for closed-loop motion. In automated assembly lines or machine tools, it provides the physical connection that allows the drive to read shaft position in real time and maintain precise speed and torque control. Its preassembled format avoids field termination work and helps preserve signal continuity along the feedback path.

The internal wiring uses a composite layout of 4×(2×0.25 mm²) + 2×1.0 mm², giving four balanced pairs for differential feedback channels and two larger conductors for auxiliary supply lines. Each pair has a conductor cross-section of 0.25 mm², which keeps loop resistance low while still allowing flexible bending along cable tracks, and the two single conductors measure 1.0 mm² for circuits that require higher current capacity. Signal integrity is supported by an overall shield that helps block electromagnetic interference from nearby servo equipment, and the insulation system is rated for 300 V in mixed-control cabinets. This arrangement separates low-level feedback paths from higher-current conductors within the same harness.

At the machine end, the cable terminates in a 12-pin circular screw connector, so installation uses a threaded locking interface instead of field crimping. The outer jacket is made of PUR, which resists coolants, cutting oils, and continuous drag-chain movement in machining centers and conveyor systems. Because the assembly is intended for encoder and control duties, its conductor arrangement and pair twist support stable transmission of position signals and auxiliary control data used by synchronous serial feedback systems. The jacket also remains suitable for repeated motion where flexible routing is required.
