IKS0259 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKS0259 encoder lead is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKS Encoder Cables series. It is an encoder cable designed to link motor-mounted feedback devices to drive controllers, carrying position and diagnostic data while withstanding continuous motion inside machine tools and packaging cells. By maintaining signal integrity over several meters of travel, the cable helps closed-loop motion axes retain positional accuracy during rapid acceleration cycles. This makes it suitable for servo systems in assembly lines, printing machines, and semiconductor handlers.

One end of the assembly is fitted with INS0352, a pre-molded circular connector that mates with the encoder side, while the drive end terminates in INK0208. Both connectors follow the AEH interface code so pin allocation stays consistent across the series. A TPE outer jacket encloses the copper pairs and provides high flex life at elevated temperatures. Beneath the jacket, an overall shield of tinned copper mesh minimizes electromagnetic interference so differential signals remain within acceptable limits during high-speed sampling. The cable tolerates tight bend radii without compromising data fidelity in dynamic energy-chain installations used in multi-axis gantry robots.

Electrical insulation for the twisted pairs is verified for 300/500 V, matching low-voltage feedback circuits used by IndraDrive platforms. Material selection provides oil resistance, halogen-free construction, and UV resistance, allowing routing through drag chains, clean rooms, or outdoor conveyor segments without contaminating paint lines or degrading under sunlight. The formulation is also coolant-resistant and silicone-free, preventing swelling or outgassing when the cable is exposed to synthetic lubricants, cutting fluids, or varnish curing ovens.
