The IKS0200 is an encoder feedback cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the IKS Encoder Cables series. This preassembled cable links servo encoders to drive controllers, carrying low-level position signals while resisting mechanical wear in moving machine layouts. By matching the pinout and shielding conventions used in Rexroth drives, it simplifies installation and helps maintain signal integrity on gantries, pick-and-place axes, and other automated assemblies. Its factory-assembled design also reduces the need for field termination work, which helps preserve consistent electrical contact quality at both ends of the cable.
In applications with continuously cycling carriers, the cable endures 5,000,000 bending cycles, so energy-chain systems can run for long duty periods under repeated motion. When routed in a static harness, it follows a minimum bend radius of 5 × D, while dynamic tracks require 7.5 × D; adhering to these radii helps reduce conductor fatigue near the shield transition. The construction is approved for drag-chain installation, meaning the outer jacket and filler compounds are formulated to slide against neighboring cables without sticking. Chemical compatibility is verified through the EN 60811-2-1; EN 50363-10-2 oil-resistance tests, allowing the assembly to pass through lubricated machine zones. This combination of flex life and jacket behavior supports dependable routing in axes that move through long, repetitive travel paths.
Electrical conductors inside the pair are rated for a control voltage of 300 V, making the cable suitable for typical encoder supply rails and their differential signals. Safety is improved because the sheath is halogen-free, so combustion gases do not contain corrosive chlorine compounds during a fire. The outer sheath uses a PUR, adhesion-free, matte finish that resists abrasion, and it is colored RAL 2003 orange to distinguish feedback wiring from power runs in shared trays. Because the core stranding is optimized for bending rather than twisting, the model is not suited for continuous torsional stress. Rotary tables or other applications with constant twisting should use a different cable type.
