IKS0061 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKS0061 is a flexible encoder cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the IKS Encoder Cables series. It is supplied as a finished harness for linking resolver or incremental encoder heads to drive electronics in industrial motion systems. By combining mechanical flexibility with electrical noise suppression, the cable helps keep position signals stable during rapid machine cycles and continuous carrier travel. It is suited for dynamic automation axes where frequent flexing, repeated routing changes, and dependable signal transmission are required during normal machine operation.

Inside the assembly, bulk cable INK0572 gives the cable an outer diameter of 6.5 mm, which helps it pass through drag-chain dividers and standard cable glands. A tough PUR jacket resists abrasion while remaining flexible during repeated motion. The conductor core is rated for 2,000,000 flex cycles and is intended for continuous bending use, which supports reliable movement in applications with constant travel. Electromagnetic immunity is improved by a total shield made of foil and braid that helps route interference away from the encoder leads. This arrangement supports stable feedback transmission when nearby motors, drives, and switching devices generate electrical noise inside the machine.

Termination is provided by a molded plug type INS0456 at the sensor end and a matching receptacle INS0457 at the controller end, and both ends use 360° shield bonding. The vivid orange (RAL 2003) sheath makes cable routing easier to identify inside dense cabinet layouts and moving cable carriers. For chemical exposure, the cable provides oil resistance to mineral oils and greases, and the jacket compound is also halogen-free, silicone-free, and resistant to hydrolysis. These material properties help the harness remain suitable for both stationary sections and moving axes where contact with industrial contaminants and repeated motion can occur over long operating periods.
