IKG4276 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4276 is a flexible motor power cable engineered by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. Intended for automated machinery, it transmits motor power together with low-level control signals between a drive module and a servo motor while maintaining signal integrity during continuous motion. Its mechanical design supports highly dynamic routing inside cable carriers, allowing installation on gantries, pick-and-place axes, and other moving assemblies where electrical continuity must be maintained through repetitive motion cycles. This arrangement allows power and auxiliary circuits to travel in one cable run without adding separate moving harnesses.

At a length of 8.0 m, the assembly can bridge the distance from cabinet to machine without intermediate junctions, reducing additional connection points along the route. The insulation system is rated for 600 V AC, so it can accommodate the line-to-line voltages commonly used in three-phase drive systems. An overall diameter of 25.5 mm balances current-carrying capacity with bend flexibility, while the four power cores each use 16.0 mm² conductors to help limit temperature rise under continuous motor currents. Line-to-ground capacitance is held to 1.2 nF/m, which helps keep reactive currents low between the inverter and motor at higher switching frequencies. That electrical behavior supports stable drive operation when the cable is used on fast-moving servo axes.

The series resistance is limited to 1.21 Ohm/km, which helps minimize voltage drop across the installed length. For brake release, encoder enable, or temperature monitoring circuits, the cable includes 4 auxiliary conductors, each with a cross-section of 1.5 mm². The sheath is colored RAL 2003 (orange) and made of PUR, which provides abrasion resistance and oil compatibility during drag-chain travel. The outer jacket also helps the cable withstand repeated movement in industrial environments where rubbing and flexing occur throughout normal machine operation.
