IKG4211 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4211 is a motor power cable built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the IKG Motor Power Cables series. The assembly delivers three-phase energy and feedback signals between drive controllers and servo motors inside automated machinery. By combining power and auxiliary pairs within one sheath, the cable simplifies routing in cabinets and on moving axes while maintaining the electrical separation required for industrial motion systems. It is intended for continuous flex motion in drag chains used on gantries, pick-and-place modules, and similar equipment, where repeated movement can quickly wear out less robust cable designs.

Four copper power cores rated at 4x25.0 mm² provide the current-carrying capacity needed for servo applications, and their loop resistance is limited to 0.78 ?/km. This low resistance helps reduce voltage drop across longer travel lengths and supports stable motor performance under load. The insulation system supports a maximum working potential of 600 V AC under UL rules, which matches common inverter output levels in industrial drive systems. Mechanically, the cable is rated for up to 5,000,000 flex cycles without conductor fatigue. The outer sheath uses a PUR compound with a matte, adhesion-free surface, so it moves smoothly in cable tracks and resists cutting oils during regular machine operation.

The signal portion contains 2x(2x1.5 mm²) control pairs that can carry brake release or temperature monitoring circuits alongside the motor leads. A capacitive value of 1.1 nF/m helps limit reactive current at high switching frequencies, which supports stable PWM operation and reduces unwanted electrical effects on the drive output. The cable complies with the EN 60332-1-2 flame test and uses a halogen-free construction, which reduces corrosive gas release during a fire. Its RAL 2003 orange jacket also makes the cable easier to identify in crowded panels and along machine cable routes. The integrated design keeps the cable bundle compact, which is useful where moving carriers have limited space.
