The IKG4184 is a flexible motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. Designed for installation between servo drives and rotary or linear motors, the cable routes three-phase power and auxiliary brake or sensor conductors inside automated machinery. Its construction supports continuous motion in cable carriers, allowing it to supply stable current where axes accelerate and reverse frequently. Separate power and auxiliary conductors help keep the motor connection compact while still supporting brake release or signal transmission through the same cable path. It is intended for moving applications where fixed wiring would fatigue too quickly.

The cable sustains up to 5 million flexing cycles in a drag chain thanks to its stranded copper cores and reinforced jacket. Its conductor set uses four large power cores with an additional 2×(2×1.5 mm²) group for auxiliary circuits, and the power conductors have a cross-section of 16.0 mm². At 20 °C, the conductor loop resistance is limited to 1.21 ?/km, while line-to-ground capacitance is held to 1.2 nF/m for predictable drive filtering. The assembly carries motor currents at up to 600 V AC, and its nominal overall diameter of 25.5 mm allows routing through standard carrier inserts without excessive fill. These electrical values help limit unwanted losses and support consistent drive behavior over long moving cable runs.

For mechanical protection, the sheath is molded from PUR, a matte adhesion-free compound that lowers friction inside carriers and resists tearing during fast strokes. The bright RAL 2003 orange jacket supports quick visual tracing in crowded cable trays and helps the cable stand out from signal wiring. The jacket is oil resistant, so the cable can operate near gearboxes and hydraulic devices without swelling. It is also halogen-free, which helps reduce corrosive and toxic gas release during an arc fault. Verified drag-chain suitability supports use on highly dynamic axes without separate strain-relief fittings.
