The IKG4181 is a flexible motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. Intended for servo drive installations, the cable routes three-phase power along with protective earth to synchronous and induction motors used in automated machinery. By combining resilient insulation with dedicated control pairs, the assembly supports coordinated drive functions such as braking or temperature monitoring. Its construction lets machine builders install it inside drag chains and moving cable tracks without compromising signal quality or mechanical life.

Mechanical endurance is supported by a flex life of 5,000,000 bending cycles, allowing continuous motion inside standard drag-chain radii. The overall diameter is 25.5 mm, a value that guides carrier fill calculations and gland selection. Four power cores sized at 4x16.0 mm² carry three phases plus protective earth, and they use a matte, adhesion-free PUR outer jacket that withstands oil and coolant exposure. The cable is rated for a system voltage of 300/500 V on the power conductors, aligning with common inverter outputs. Its jacket appears in RAL 2003 orange for clear identification on the plant floor, and it is halogen-free to minimize corrosive gas release during a fire. The cable is suitable for drag-chain use, helping the cores remain torsion-stable during accelerated cycles.

Internal signaling is handled by 4x1.5 mm² control conductors that can carry brake power, temperature sensors, or digital status lines without crosstalk. Direct current losses are limited by a loop resistance of 1.21 Ohm/km, supporting long cable runs while limiting voltage drop. Capacitance is 1.2 nF/m, which is relevant when tuning drive output filters in high-frequency switching applications. The control conductors have a nominal system voltage of 300/300 V, allowing them to share ducts with low-voltage I/O wiring. This arrangement keeps auxiliary circuits available for brake release and thermal monitoring during motor operation.
