IKG4174 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4174 motor power cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It connects servo drives to synchronous motors in automated machinery, transmitting phase current and auxiliary signals while withstanding high mechanical loads. The design targets installations that route cabling through moving drag-chain carriers, so it suits packaging lines, gantry robots, and transfer modules that rely on uninterrupted power delivery during millions of repetitive cycles. Its flexible construction also helps the cable follow continuous machine motion without sticking inside the carrier.

The cable contains four copper power cores with a cross-section of 4 x 35.0 mm², allowing current transmission at up to 600 V AC between the inverter and motor terminals. Each core has a direct-current resistance of 0.554 ?/km, which helps limit voltage drop along extended machine axes. Electrostatic coupling is controlled by a line-to-shield capacitance of 1.2 nF/m, while the overall diameter remains 30.8 mm to ease installation through narrow energy guides. Two additional twisted pairs, each 1.5 mm², form the control conductor set for temperature sensors or brakes. A matte, adhesion-free PUR jacket protects the bundle against cutting oils and coolant splash and helps it slide smoothly through drag-chain channels.

For cyclic motion, the assembly is rated for 5 million bending events and is approved for drag-chain use. During travel, it may flex down to a radius of 7.5 × D, and once anchored, it can be laid on a tighter 5 × D curve without harming conductor life. The sheath is colored Orange (RAL 2003) for clear visibility inside crowded cabinets and machine frames. The cable is halogen-free, which helps reduce toxic emissions during a fire. The polyurethane jacket also supports repeated acceleration without cracking or adhering to adjacent cable surfaces.
