IKG4149 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4149 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It links servo drives to synchronous motors in automated machinery, carrying three-phase power and auxiliary control conductors while tolerating constant motion in cable-carrier systems. Designed for factory environments that expose wiring to mechanical stress, electrical noise, and lubricants, the cable combines a matte, adhesion-free PUR jacket with comprehensive shielding so that power delivery and control signals remain stable during high-duty operation. Its flexible construction supports repeated movement on axes where cables must travel continuously with the machine.

During installation, the cable supports a fixed bend radius of 5 x D, allowing tight cabinet routing, and it can flex repeatedly down to a moving radius of 7.5 x D when placed inside a cable carrier. The PUR jacket glides smoothly in drag-chain channels, and the cable is rated for a service life of 5 million double strokes. An outside diameter of 18.5 mm helps determine clamp and grommet selection, while the integrated copper braid and foil form a Total Shield that reduces emitted and coupled electromagnetic fields. The bright RAL 2003 orange jacket also makes the cable easy to identify along machine runs and inside dense wiring paths.

The internal layout separates the four motor conductors from the signal pairs, which helps reduce mutual interference during operation. The control cores are rated at 300/300 V and the power bundle is rated at 300/500 V, matching common Rexroth drive output stages. Line-to-ground capacitance of 0.8 nF/m helps limit reactive current in long runs, and a conductor resistance of 3.30 Ohm/km helps minimize voltage drop to the motor. This arrangement supports stable current transfer and consistent signal behavior where drive switching activity and continuous cable motion occur at the same time.
