IKG4143 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4143 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. This cable links synchronous or induction motors to their drive in industrial automation, carrying both phase current and auxiliary signals while withstanding continuous motion in cable tracks. It is built for machinery where coordinated axes, compact routing, and electrical noise control are mandatory, such as packaging lines and material-handling gantries.

The mechanical parameters set installation limits and support electrical integrity. A static bend can be formed down to 5 × D, while dynamic chains require a larger radius of 7.5 × D; these ratios help prevent conductor fatigue during repeated cycles. The copper cores exhibit a resistance of 3.30 Ohm/km, which affects voltage drop over long runs. Capacitive coupling between conductors is held to 0.8 nF/m, which reduces common-mode interference seen by the inverter. Both the power and control bundles are rated for 600 V AC, allowing the four-core supply group to share the same trunking as sensor leads without exceeding insulation limits. Current distribution is handled through four 6 mm² power conductors, and separate auxiliary pairs are provided so control circuits remain isolated from the main phase lines.

Two shielded auxiliary pairs use 1.0 mm² and 1.5 mm² cross-sections to carry brake or motor thermistor signals without requiring an external conduit. The outer sheath is Halogen-free, limiting corrosive gases during a fire. Its distinctive RAL 2003 (orange) coloring simplifies traceability in dense cabinets, and the PUR (adhesion-free, matte) jacket resists oils while sliding smoothly through plastic guides. Cable carriers can span up to 50 m of horizontal travel without tensile reinforcement, and each 6.0 mm² phase core supports typical medium-frame servo loads in continuous duty zones.
