The IKG4139 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. Designed for connecting servo drives to synchronous or induction motors, the assembly carries three-phase power, control signals, and a protective earth in a single jacket, streamlining panel wiring in automated machinery. Its construction allows integration in drag-chain-guided axes and fixed routing alike, supplying motors with energy while carrying auxiliary control lines back to the drive controller.

During installation, the cable may be bent to a minimum static radius of 5 × D, while dynamic applications in cable carriers require a larger radius of 7.5 × D to avoid conductor fatigue. The overall diameter is 14.8 mm, allowing compact routing through standard machine conduits and glands. Four power cores with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² deliver the motor phase current, and the stranded copper shows a loop resistance of only 7.98 ?/km at 20 °C, limiting voltage drop over long runs. Separate control pairs, each 1.0 mm², transmit brake or sensor signals, while a braided foil shield blocks electromagnetic interference.

The conductor temperature rating reaches 90 °C, so full load can be maintained in warm enclosures without premature aging of the insulation. An abrasion-resistant PUR outer sheath in orange RAL 2003 supports oil-mist environments and simplifies visual tracing along the machine frame. The cable employs a Total Shield design that encloses both power and control bundles, reducing common-mode noise and meeting EMC targets for high-frequency drives. With a capacitive coupling of 0.7 nF/m, drive manufacturers can calculate filter requirements accurately, and the provision of a GNYE protective earth conductor supports low-impedance fault paths during ground faults and short circuits.
