IKG4118 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4118 is a preassembled motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It links an IndraDrive or comparable servo controller to a synchronous or induction motor, carrying three-phase power and auxiliary signals in one protected bundle. The design supports high-speed pick-and-place modules, gantries, and packaging stations where frequent axis movement subjects conductors and jackets to sustained flex stress. Factory-mounted connectors eliminate field crimping and simplify installation.

To support moving-cable applications, the jacket, shielding, and conductors are rated for 5 million bending cycles, and drag-chain routing is supported. The assembly uses bulk cable designation INK0604 and follows the 4x6.0 + (2x1.0)StC + (2x1.5)StC layout, with four 6.0 mm² power cores, two screened 1.0 mm² pairs, and two screened 1.5 mm² pairs. Total loop resistance is limited to 3.30 ?/km at 20 °C, which helps reduce voltage drop on long travel axes. Despite the braided shields, the cable keeps a nominal outer diameter of 18.5 mm, making it compatible with standard chain dividers. The outer jacket is colored RAL 2003 orange for easy identification inside cabinets and on factory floors.

Connection hardware is permanently overmolded. The controller end uses RLS0721/K06, while the motor side uses INS0481/C06 to match the power ports. Each phase conductor is sized at 6.0 mm², enabling the assembly to deliver rated motor currents without overheating. The sheath is extruded from PUR, providing abrasion resistance, coolant tolerance, and stable flexibility across the full temperature and motion range. Its double shielding helps maintain signal integrity in the two auxiliary pairs while reducing jacket corkscrewing during repeated extension and retraction cycles.
