The IKG4117 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the IKG Motor Power Cables series. Designed for dynamic industrial automation, the cable delivers three-phase power and auxiliary signals from a drive controller to a motor while maintaining shielding integrity in drag-chain and static layouts. Its internal core grouping includes dedicated control leads for temperature monitoring, brake operation, or encoder supply, making the assembly suitable for synchronous and induction motor installations on packaging lines, gantries, and transfer stations. This arrangement helps keep power transmission and low-level control functions separated during continuous machine motion.

The cable uses a power conductor cross-section of 4.0 mm², giving it sufficient ampacity for medium-frame servo drives while limiting voltage drop over typical machine runs. Resistance measured at 20 °C is 4.95 ?/km, which must be considered when estimating copper losses during continuous operation. The discharge capacitance is 0.8 nF/m, so reactive current remains low when high switching frequencies are used. Mechanical service life is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, and the outer sheath is made of PUR, a thermoplastic polyurethane that resists oil, weld spatter, and coolant. The auxiliary cores are split into two pairs to support separate low-current and supply functions. Wires 5 and 6 use a cross-section of 1.0 mm² for low-current feedback tasks, while wires 7 and 8 use 1.5 mm² to support brake release current or encoder supply. Visual identification is simplified by a jacket in RAL 2003 (orange), which stands out clearly on the plant floor. Termination uses an 11-pin bayonet-lock connector that mates quickly and seals against dust. Inside the plug are three power pins, one protective earth contact, and seven control contacts, and the cable maintains separate power and control routing to reduce crosstalk.
