IKG4116 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4116 is a flexible motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the IKG Motor Power Cables series. Intended for servo-drive installations, it establishes the electrical path between an IndraDrive controller and a synchronous servo motor. By carrying both three-phase power and feedback-related auxiliaries within a single sheath, the cable simplifies wiring layouts in automated assembly lines, packaging cells, and gantry axes. Its combined design also reduces the need for separate external cable runs between the drive cabinet and the motor connection point.

Power delivery is handled through 3x2.5 mm² + PE copper conductors that supply the main phase currents while providing a protective earth reference. Parallel to these, the cable integrates 4x1.0 mm² control cores that can be assigned to temperature monitoring, brake release, or holding solenoids without an extra harness. Conductor resistance is limited to 7.98 ?/km, so voltage drop stays below drive guidelines even on long traverses. The insulation system exhibits a line-to-shield capacitance of 0.7 nF/m, reducing high-frequency leakage and improving motor current quality when the inverter switches at high carrier frequencies. All elements are packed inside a cylindrical jacket with an outside diameter of 14.8 mm, making the cable compatible with PG16 glands, drag-chain crossbars, and multi-cable clamping modules.

For dynamic routing, the cable withstands up to 5 million bending cycles and is rated for continuous drag-chain duty, helping prevent conductor fatigue in high-stroke applications. On the motor side, the molded INS0481/C03 connector locks to M23 interfaces, while the cabinet end is equipped with the matching RLS0721/K03 connector to support correct installation. The sheath is extruded from PUR that is adhesion-free and matte, so chips and lubricants do not cling to the surface. A vivid RAL 2003 orange color improves cable visibility along machine frames and inside enclosures. This outer material also supports flexible routing where repeated motion and surface abrasion are common.
