IKG4101 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4101 is a motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. Designed for drive systems that use detachable terminations, the cable provides a quick-release link between a controller and its matched servo motor, transmitting three-phase supply, protective earth, and low-level control signals in one assembly. This arrangement reduces panel wiring time and helps maintain signal integrity during repetitive machine cycles in automated production cells.

The cable has a fixed bend radius of 5 × D and a dynamic bend radius of 7.5 × D, allowing tight routing inside enclosures while helping prevent conductor fatigue on moving cable chains. The PUR jacket's outside diameter of 18.5 mm provides abrasion resistance without enlarging cable trays. For motor windings, the assembly carries a power rating of 300/500 V through three stranded copper cores sized at 3×6.0 mm²; this section supports typical inverter outputs up to 40 A over short distances. A separable construction with coded plugs allows quick connection without field splicing, and twin control pairs of 1.0 mm² and 1.5 mm² carry brake or temperature sensor lines that are electrically isolated from the main phase conductors.

System interfaces are factory-crimped, with the motor side using connector INS0481/C06, while the opposite end mates to the drive through a matching shell. The jacket is molded from PUR compound colored RAL 2003 (orange) for easy identification among signal cables and for compliance with machinery safety guidelines. Continuous installation temperatures reach +90 °C when the cable is fixed, and the allowable temperature is lower during flexing cycles. A 6.0 mm² protective-earth conductor is embedded concentrically, minimizing ground loop impedance and completing the power circuit.
