IKG4100 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4100 is a motor power cable manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. This pre-assembled lead routes three-phase power and auxiliary control conductors between Indramat servo drives and motors in automated machinery. By combining shielded power pairs with signal pairs inside a single jacket, it simplifies wiring and maintains EMC compliance inside moving machine members such as gantries and handling modules.

Bending endurance of 5 million cycles qualifies the cable for continuous-motion axes. The outer diameter is 12.0 mm, a dimension that determines clamp sizing and drag-chain fill factors. For static routing the minimum bend is 5 x D, while dynamic loops require a larger radius of 7.5 x D to prevent conductor fatigue. A sheath of PUR (adhesion-free, matte) resists oil and welding splatter and slides smoothly in energy guides. Inside the jacket sit four 1.0 mm² power cores plus two shielded pairs of 0.75 mm² control leads, giving simultaneous motor feeding and temperature or brake feedback without additional harnesses. The cable is cleared for drag-chain use, so jacket and filling materials withstand torsion and acceleration common in pick-and-place cells.

Electrical performance is based on the bulk cable code INK0653, and prefabrication helps keep impedance uniform along the run. Factory-mounted plugs include an M23 motor-end connector coded INS0542 and a drive-side hybrid marked AEH/RKS, which reduces field termination work. The loop resistance is 19.5 Ohm/km at 20 °C, which supports voltage-drop calculations for axes up to 40 m. The tinned-copper braid tied to the overall foil supplies 360° shielding against inverter-switching noise. This cable is suited for long, high-speed travel paths in multi-axis gantry systems and other moving industrial automation axes.
