Bosch Rexroth Indramat supplies the IKG4087 cable as part of its IKG Motor Power Cables series, a family of flexible conductors used to link servo drives to motors in automated machinery. The cable carries three-phase motor current and auxiliary control signals through a single assembly, reducing wiring complexity in moving axes that travel inside drag-chain carriers. Its mechanical construction and insulation system are selected so the product can withstand repetitive motion while maintaining consistent electrical performance in industrial automation cells.

The mechanical life is rated for 5 million flexing cycles, so the cable can be used in high-duty drag chains without premature conductor breakage. An outer diameter of 17.0 mm fits common chain compartments and still leaves space for airflow. At 20 °C, the copper loop resistance is 4.95 ?/km, which helps limit voltage drop on long machine axes. The insulation and conductor bundle tolerate fixed-installation temperatures up to 90 °C, allowing cabinet entry without extra thermal shielding. A PUR outer jacket resists abrasion, oils, and coolants often present around machine tools. Two control pairs, 2×1.0 mm² and 2×1.5 mm², share the sheath, allowing motor brakes or thermal sensors to be wired alongside the power cores, and the cable is halogen-free to help reduce smoke toxicity.

Signal quality is supported by a capacitance of 0.8 nF/m, which keeps reactive current low when the drive uses high PWM frequencies. Each of the four power cores has a cross-section of 4.0 mm², and the cable contains 4 main conductors arranged symmetrically for balanced phase loading.
