IKG4083 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4083 cable is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It is a flexible four-core power lead designed to connect servo drives to synchronous motors in automated machinery. By combining power conductors and auxiliary control pairs within a single jacket, the cable carries motor current, signals from thermal sensors, and protective earth connections in one assembly. This arrangement helps reduce cable count on moving axes and keeps routing more compact inside automated equipment.

Its capacitance is 0.8 nF/m, which helps minimize reactive current over long runs so the drive can maintain stable output. Each main conductor has a cross-sectional area of 4.0 mm², providing adequate copper area for typical continuous currents in medium-frame motors. The DC resistance is 4.95 ?/km, which helps limit voltage drop over distance. The power cores are rated for 600 V AC, allowing the cable to be installed on the motor side of most industrial inverters without additional insulation barriers. A braided and foil combination provides total shielding around the bundle, reducing electromagnetic emissions and helping protect nearby signal lines from drive switching noise.

The auxiliary pair arrangement of 2×1.0 mm² + 2×1.5 mm² supports brake release circuits and temperature sensors without separate cabling. Visual identification on the plant floor is aided by the jacket color RAL 2003 orange, while the outer sheath is made from abrasion-resistant PUR for continuous-flex applications. The conductor insulation, shielding drain, and jacket are all rated for a maximum conductor temperature of 90 °C. The cable is suitable for drag-chain use, has a minimum flexible bend radius of 7.5 × D, and has an outer diameter of 17 mm. Four individually numbered power conductors also help simplify identification during installation.
