IKG4081 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4081 motor power cable is supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. The assembly connects drive controllers to synchronous servo motors, carrying three-phase power conductors, signal pairs, and protective grounds required for closed-loop motion axes. Used inside transfer lines, gantries, and packaging machines, the cable forms the electrically and mechanically matched link between a Rexroth drive and its motor, ensuring that commanded torque reaches the load with minimal voltage drop and low electromagnetic interference.

The cable uses a conductor set of 4x4.0mm²+(2x1.0)StC+(2x1.5)StC; four 4.0 mm² power wires sit beside two 1.0 mm² and two 1.5 mm² shielded control pairs. Line-to-ground capacitance is 0.8 nF/m, keeping charging currents low so pulse-width-modulated inverter outputs stay stable. The assembly tolerates a phase-to-phase rating of 300/500 V, while 300/300 V applies to the control cores. On the cabinet side, the keyed INS0482/C04 plug simplifies installation, and a braid with aluminum laminate supplies total shield coverage that reduces radiated emissions. For static runs, the cable can be laid to a 5 × D bend radius without harming the insulation.

In dynamic cable chains, the assembly endures repeated motion because the flexible routing limit is 7.5 × D, and the copper loop resistance of 4.95 Ohm/km keeps I²R losses moderate over long runs. Each power core maintains a cross-section of 4.0 mm², supporting continuous servo currents without overheating. The motor terminates through the coded INS0481/C04 plug, which supports correct phase connection at the motor end. External abrasion is resisted by the halogen-free PUR jacket, which also provides oil and coolant tolerance typical of machining centers. The shield and jacket help limit emitted noise when the cable is installed beside switching devices.
