The IKG4077 is a flexible motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat in the IKG Motor Power Cables series. Designed for servo-drive installations, the cable links drive controllers to synchronous or induction motors, supplying line voltage and auxiliary sensor lines within a single composite jacket. In automated machinery, it allows coordinated motion axes to move continuously while maintaining electrical integrity. The combined cable format also reduces the number of separate runs along moving machine members, which helps keep routing compact in tight axis assemblies. That layout can reduce snag points where separate power and signal cables would otherwise have to bend together through the same travel path.

The cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, indicating how many flex repetitions the cores can withstand in an installed drag chain before conductor fatigue becomes critical. Current-carrying conductors use a four-core layout of 4x2.5 mm², while feedback or brake signals are carried by 2x(2x1.0 mm²); separating power and control groups helps reduce crosstalk during motion. This arrangement lets the larger cores carry motor current while the smaller conductors support low-power auxiliary circuits that need stable transmission during repeated travel. The jacket is colored RAL 2003 (Orange) for quick identification of energized motor leads inside control cabinets. Its PUR insulation resists cutting oils and remains elastic at low temperatures, and the matte, low-adhesion surface helps the cable slide cleanly in guide troughs. That combination is useful on machines where oil mist, sliding contact, and repetitive flexing would quickly wear ordinary PVC cable constructions. A specific capacitance of 0.7 nF/m limits reactive current drawn by the drive at high switching frequencies. The cable can be routed through drag chains without additional conduit, and individual shields around paired cores help preserve signal cleanliness while the halogen-free jacket reduces toxic smoke during a fire.
