IKG4074 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4074 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It links servo drives to synchronous motors and carries both power and low-level control signals inside automated equipment. The design supports continuous motion inside drag chains, so it fits dynamic axes in assembly cells and packaging lines. A pair of auxiliary cores is included for brake release or sensor circuits, giving the assembly the mixed-function capability often required in industrial automation.

Primary energy is transmitted through 4x2.5 mm² conductors, a cross-section selected to limit voltage drop during peak motor demand. These cores are approved for up to 600 VAC, matching UL motor-branch ratings. Two double shielded pairs sized 2x(2x1.0 mm²) handle auxiliary functions and draw far less current, so their reduced section saves space and weight. Control lines are insulated for a ceiling of 300 V under VDE rules, keeping them separate from the higher power potential. The finished cable measures 14.8 mm in outer diameter, a figure used to set minimum bend radii in cable-track layouts. An orange RAL 2003 jacket makes the cable easily identifiable inside mixed harnesses, and its elasticity allows millions of flex cycles.

Prefitted INS0681 and INS0682 connectors remove field terminations and provide touch-safe mating with Rexroth motor interfaces. The outer sheath is molded from PUR, providing abrasion resistance and tolerance to cutting fluids. Conductor insulation withstands continuous temperatures up to 90°C, supporting installations near transformers or brakes. A laminate foil and braid form a Total Shield around every core bundle, lowering emitted noise and protecting encoder feedback from external interference. The cable remains flexible down to -20°C while rated for ambient operation up to 40°C, so it covers typical plant climates without derating.
