IKG4067 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4067 motor power cable is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the IKG Motor Power Cables series. This hybrid design routes three-phase motor power and low-level control signals through one assembly, simplifying installation between Rexroth drive controllers and servomotors. Its finely stranded copper cores, combined with an abrasion-resistant outer sheath, let automated gantries, pick-and-place axes, and palletizers operate over long strokes while the cable flexes continuously inside cable carriers.

The cable's outside diameter is 14.8 mm, allowing tight bend radii inside compact control cabinets. Four stranded power cores, each with a cross-section of 2.5 mm², can carry motor phase currents while keeping resistive losses low. Those losses are represented by a conductor resistance of 7.98 ?/km measured at 20 °C. The power bundle is rated at 300/500 V for mains isolation. All cores are enclosed in a tough, halogen-free PUR jacket that resists abrasion, oil, and weld spatter. The cable is approved for use in drag chains, so it tolerates millions of dynamic cycles without corkscrewing or insulation cracking.

Signal handling characteristics are addressed by the four control cores. They arrive as two twisted and shielded pairs with a cross-section of 1.0 mm², enabling encoder or brake signals to share the cable without crosstalk. This layout keeps auxiliary circuits separated from the higher-current power conductors. The insulation system supports 300/300 V control potential, matching typical 24 V or 110 V auxiliary circuits with ample margin. Line-to-line capacitance is limited to 0.7 nF/m, which helps maintain rise times in high-frequency PWM environments. Visual identification on the factory floor is straightforward because the outer sheath is colored RAL 2003 orange, a standard safety hue for energized motion cables.
