IKG4061 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4061 cable assembly is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It routes drive power and control lines between a Rexroth servo amplifier and its matched motor in automated handling systems or machine tools. This arrangement keeps motor power and auxiliary wiring in one assembly, which supports compact routing inside industrial equipment.

Its circular geometry has an outside diameter of 14.8 mm, which helps with chain carrier selection and gland sizing. The power circuit uses four cores with a cross-section of 2.5 mm² each, and the count of 4 conductors supports three phases and a protective ground. Low-level signals share the sheath through 2 control pairs built from wires of 0.75 mm², allowing temperature sensors or a brake to be wired through the same cable. Copper strands remain electrically stable up to a conductor temperature of 80 °C, so continuous current ratings are maintained in common cabinet climates. Connector A is an INS0481 plug and Connector B is an INS0482 receptacle, providing a direct connection between compatible drive modules and motors.

For dynamic machine axes, the cable is rated for 5,000,000 bending cycles, aligning with long-life energy chain use. During motion, the minimum flexing radius is 111.0 mm, while stationary installation may use a smaller fixed radius of 74.0 mm to reduce required panel depth. The orange RAL 2003 outer sheath is molded from PUR, a material chosen for abrasion resistance, coolant tolerance, and low particulate shedding. Because the formulation is halogen-free, smoke from an electrical fault will not contain corrosive gases that can attack control cabinets. The total-shield design encloses the power and control bundles under a tinned copper braid, which keeps conducted emissions low over the full cable length.
