IKG4051 by Bosch Rexroth Indramat

The IKG4051 is a shielded motor power cable produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the IKG Motor Power Cables series. It is intended for routing three-phase power and control signals between an Indramat servo controller and its matched motor in factory automation cells. Preassembled INS0482/C02 and INS0481/C02 circular connectors at the controller and motor ends simplify installation and maintain signal integrity, making the assembly a ready-to-use interconnect for drive axes that experience both fixed and continuously moving cable runs.

The cable core contains 4 x 1.5 mm² power conductors that carry the motor phases and protective earth at up to 600 V AC. It also includes 4 x 0.75 mm² auxiliary conductors for brake release or sensor lines. The combination of power and auxiliary conductors allows one cable to carry motor current together with control circuits. A tinned copper braid provides low transfer impedance, and the 12.2 mm outer diameter helps with gland selection and cable routing. Direct current losses are limited by a conductor resistance of 13.3 ?/km measured at 20 °C, while mutual capacitance is 0.8 nF/m, which is important for drive-based leakage current calculations.

The outer sheath is colored RAL 2003 (orange) for quick visual identification on the machine frame and is extruded from PUR, a material chosen for oil resistance and high abrasion life. When the cable is permanently clamped, it can withstand conductor temperatures up to 90 °C, while dynamic drag-chain duty lowers the allowable conductor temperature to 80 °C to protect the insulation. Flexible routing requires a minimum bend radius of 7.5 × D, whereas static runs may be bent to 5 × D without mechanical damage. The orange jacket also makes the cable easier to identify along machine frames and inside cable carriers.
